The Delaware County Symphony under the baton of guest conductor Terry Guidetti opens the concert with the ever popular Symphony No. 2, "Little Russian" by Pyotr Tchaikovsky in a work which captures the unique imagination of Russian romanticism. The concert continues with a sparkling performance of the assertive and delightful Trumpet Concerto by Alexander Arutiunian performed by guest soloist Barbara Prugh. The concert concludes with a musical journey into the enduring beauty and sensuous sounds of the Nutcracker - Suite, Pas de Deux, Finale/Apotheosis by Tchaikovsky.
